What a marketplace kit contains

Amazon, Wayfair, and TikTok Shop each publish their own image rules. A kit is those rules, gathered into one set of sizes you can export in a single pass.

Every marketplace wants the same product photographed the same way, and then wants it delivered in a dozen shapes that are slightly different from everyone else's. A seller listing one sofa on three marketplaces can end up producing well over fifty files from a single good photo.

A Merch Kit is one marketplace's set of sizes, grouped by where each image will be used. You pick the marketplace once, and the kit lays out every size it asks for.

Amazon Kit · 36 sizes

Grouped into the listing, A+ content, Brand Story, the brand store, and ads. The main image is a 1:1 square; any side of 1000 pixels or more enables zoom, and 2000×2000 is the common choice. Standard A+ modules are often 970 wide, and brand store heroes are commonly 3000×600.

Wayfair Kit · 19 sizes

Grouped into silo (the white-background hero), lifestyle, swatches, diagrams, and banners. Wayfair recommends a 2000×2000 silo with the product filling roughly 85 percent of the frame. Banners are not product pages and use wider shapes such as 1800×900.

TikTok Shop Kit · 29 sizes

Grouped into the product page, SKU images, shop design, covers, and ads. Product images are square, with 1200×1200 recommended so they stay sharp on a phone. Covers and ads add the 3:4 and 9:16 shapes that the feed and short video use.

Three layouts for every size

Each size can be exported in one of three layouts:

  • Plain: the product alone, the layout most marketplaces want for the main image.
  • Text: the product with a title you can drag, resize, and recolor.
  • Spec: the product beside a dimension panel with width, depth, and height.

The sizes in each kit follow what the marketplaces publish in their seller documentation. Marketplaces revise those rules from time to time, and when they do, we update the kit.
